Care Givers

The job of a care giver is not easy. It needs a lot of patience and care. It needs empathy and love. It needs guidance and skills too. In this society, care is provided to children, youth, elderly and disable people. These are the people who have problems looking after themselves when left alone at home. Their parents or children are too busy to look after them while at work.

Parents who left their children in the hands of the care givers will normally return to their care giver, to bring back the children home after finishing work. There are some children who get to see their parents only once a week when their parents choose to let the care givers take over their responsibilities when they are busy at work. This is the case for some youth and the disable people and mentally handicap people. As for children with elderly parents, they have their own family to look after.

Some families have elderly parents and young children to look after. Both the husband and the wife need to work too. As such, the care of the elderly parents and children are handed over into the hands of the care givers while these people go to work. However, some children choose to left their elderly parents in old folks home. Similarly for the disabled or mentally handicap people. These people are normally left in the homes for long term.

There are many types of care givers, private owned, churches, charities organization and so on. As there are lots of work and attention to be paid to these people in the homes, many of these elderly people and disabled people may be treated inappropriately or abuse at certain times.
